ABOUT THE AUTHOR OF LIGHT SABBATH DELICTS

Mercedes Abad, born in Barcelona in 1961, studied Information Sciences at the Autonomous University of that city. Since she became known in 1986 with Ligeros libertinajes sabáticos (La Sonrisa Vertical 47), winner of the VIII La Sonrisa Vertical Prize, she has published the story books Felicidades conyugales and Soplando al viento (Andanzas 107 and 233). In 2000, his first novel, Sangre (Andanzas 417), appeared, which received applause from critics and the public.

She is also the author of several radio scripts and texts and theatrical productions such as Pretèrit perfecte (1992), Se non è vero (1995) or Bunyols de Quaresma (1998). He has adapted for the stage Dangerous Liaisons (2001) or Philosophy in the Dressing Room, by the Marquis de Sade, for the show XXX (2002) by the Fura dels Baus. A regular contributor to the Catalan edition of El País, she has collected her articles in the volume Titúlate tú (2002).
